The Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department trains regularly the 3rd and 4th Tuesdays of every month. Furthermore BVFD highly encourages its members to attend outside training. For instance BVFD normally sends members to the two week long fire schools that are put on by TEEX during March and July in College Station. This is in addition to attending numerous shorter training programs that are put on by TEEX throughout the year. |

Leon county is divided into 4 Emergency Service Districts (ESD). Buffalo, along with Oakwood, is in ESD 4. The ESDs have been created to help fund emergency services. |
